Leonard Hoehn was born in Eagle Lake, Minnesota. He was a scholarly man who always wanted to learn more. He enjoyed reading, new technology and telling jokes. He was a skilled woodworker, and his daughters have many keepsakes handcrafted by him. He was "famous" for his love of cars and driving fast. Leonard was very proud of his service to our country and was a decorated WWII veteran. He served in the European Theater and fought bravely in the Battle of the Bulge.
His professional life was centered on automobiles. He handled nearly every aspect of the automotive repair segment of the industry and excelled in sales of auto parts ana supplies. During the course of his career he lived in many areas of the United States, spending most of his time in Glendale, Arizona where he owned Hoehn Sales Company. Most recently Leonard and Laurine moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan to be near family.
Leonard loved his family. He believed in God and the American Dream. Although we will miss him dearly, we believe he is in a beautiful place. His Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 25 at 10:30 AM at All Saints Catholic Church, Madison Lake.

Today we begin our trek to Madison Lake, Minnesota; where we will bury Tanya's dad. He died six weeks ago, and he was in the hospital / care center for over 10 months before that. It's not like his death was unexpected or anything. We all new his time was coming. Yet I still catch myself wondering how he's doing, or thinking about inviting him and Laurine over for dinner. Weird huh?
Anyway, I'll be out of touch for the next few days.
