Active Fermentation

QuickImage Category Beer

I'm Brewing again -WOOT!

What we have here is a modified Belgian Witbier, flavored with Orange and Coriander, using a mixture of Hallertau and Saaz (yes, Saaz!) bittering hops, and Hallertau finishing hops.

With a starting gravity of 1.034 (at 70 degrees F), this should turn out to be a wonderful, light, and refreshing spring beer. (I don't care that it's autumn, I wanted to brew a spring beer).

I'm thinking it should be ready just in time for Thanksgiving. This is the first beer I've brewed since moving to Michigan.

The video shows just how active this fermentation is. The CO2 lock started out filled with just water, but the bubbles from the fermenter are so active they have actually carried some of the wort into the lock. (Yummm!)

Hey there Ray.
Once I get it bottled (and properly aged, of course) I'll bring you a six pack. I'm hoping to hear back soon on some potential job leads in/around Detroit.

P.S. What's up with your blog? I couldn't comment the other day, and now I'm getting an HTTP 500 error when hitting it.

P.P.S. to Tony (If you're reading this): I haven't forgotten about you; I just need to figure a way to ship some back to Phoenix.

-Devin.
